Today, we loaded up in a coach at 6:20 a.m. and headed of to Stonehenge with our driver, Pip.(haha Ashley) Needless to say, it was another day of steady rain. After everyone but Pip had taken a nap, we arrived at Stonehenge in nearly 2.5 hours. Naturally, my umbrella proved to be broken as I opened it for the first time of the day!
The Stonehenge audio guide was interesting and it really was amazing to be standing so close to such and old and mysterious site! Unfortunately the weather made for a lack of good lighting for inspiring pictures.
After everyone in the group was saturated from the rain, we loaded back into the coach and it wasn't long until most of us were onto nap II of the day. In nearly two hours, after Pip had to ask for directions, we arrived in Bath. Bath is a "posh" town, as it's development was based on the wealthy coming here on holiday for the hot springs, which were first used by the Romans thousands of years ago. The Roman Baths were very interesting and the audio guides here were very useful. There was a museum part with artifacts, replicas, and sculptures and the actual baths to learn about.
