Meeting Plymouth

After the group of nine of us from the Learning Technology and Culture Study Abroad Program(LTC) and the 3 instructors found each other at the Gatwick Airport, we loaded into the "coach" and went on our way to Plymouth.  Plymouth is a 4 hour ride from the airport. 

Although most of us were tired we were very chit chatty.  On the ride we drove by Stonehedge. In addition to getting to know each other better, we talked about many of the differences that we noticed as we looked out the windows. The driver told us that tickets are given to drivers that eat or drink (even water) when driving!  We made a stop at a rest area and had our first notable interactions with locals.

Once we got to Plymouth we got dropped off at the dorm area. We met JP, a coordinator guide for MSU and Plymouth. He gave us an hour to freshen up before they had a welcome gathering for us in the court yard area, which is central to the Radnor complex buildings. This is the MSU living area in Plymouth. The people we met are further along in the Education Technology Masters Program through MSU. Some of them are first years, similar"ish" to us, and others are completing their third summer. The completion of their Masters will be our last day here. Everyone has been so wonderful- encouraging, friendly, humorous, the list goes on and on!
